Blauberg Group takes part in MCE 2018 – the world's leading event of the HVAC industry

From 13 through 16 March 2018 the Italian city of Milan hosted Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2018 (MCE), the largest international exhibition dedicated to domestic and industrial installations, HVAC&R and renewables.

From 13 through 16 March 2018 the Italian city of Milan hosted Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2018 (MCE), the largest international exhibition dedicated to domestic and industrial installations, HVAC&R and renewables. The Blauberg Group booth featured a dazzling range of products from the member companies including Blauberg VentilatorenBlauberg MotorenVENTS and Zern Engineering.

The event visitors had an opportunity to sample a range of state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge innovative solutions for maximum occupant comfort in residential, commercial and industrial spaces such as passive house and smart home concept implementations.

The exhibitors showcased a variety of systems, components and accessories aimed at a discerning audience keen on a balance between low emissions and high performance in compliance with increasingly strict regulations governing the rational use of energy, safety and environmental safeguards.

Throughout the show days the Blauberg team was very busy presenting the group's range of ventilation equipment to distributors, engineers, designers, and other industry experts.

The KOMFORT EC eco-friendly energy-efficient air handling units in expanded polypropylene (EPP) casings made quite a stir among the booth visitors. Thanks to an innovative EPP casing the air handling units tip the scales at just 14 kg. The units KOMFORT EC units also feature high-performance EC motors and provide high heat recovery efficiency. The visitors were offered a comprehensive hands-on experience with the units on display equipped with convenient remote control panels with touch-sensitive buttons and LED indicators.

The units on display also included the KOMFORT Roto EC D2E 180 air handling unit with a rotary heat exchanger. A rotary heat exchanger has a number of advantages such as zero condensation as well as the ability to maintain the required air humidity and resist freezing.

The Blauberg product range on display included the BlauFast system of semi-flexible air ducts coupled with air handling units. This presentation approach offered an excellent chance to demonstrate the BlauFast elements, the system installation options and its outstanding simplicity. The semi-rigid air ducts help ensure an optimum distribution of ventilation air and save precious space.

This year the company showed the Blauberg Civic EC single-room air handling unit specifically designed for ventilation of classrooms, libraries and other similar spaces with stringent requirements to comfort, noise and energy savings. These silent-running ventilation units which are extremely easy to install and do not require any ductwork offer excellent heat recovery efficiency (up to 97%).

Blauberg also presented the Freshbox K150 model – a budget single-room air handling solution. These units are characterised with high energy efficiency and are easy to install and maintain.

As in the previous years, the visitors had a particular interest in single-room ventilation offerings by Blauberg. These units are among the company's best-sellers in the EU market. The VENTO units with heat recovery help minimise heat losses, provide air purification without requiring routing dedicated air ducts or special installation skills.

The industry experts highly appreciated the modular air handling units by Blauberg. These units are designed for large office spaces, banking institutions, exhibition centres, hotels, production floors, warehouses, supermarkets, and other large industrial and commercial spaces. The configuration of modular air handling units can be easily tailored for specific service requirements. The official website contains an online configuration tool for online selection and ordering in just a few clicks.

While retaining the signature high performance the BlauAIR family units are characterised with low power consumption owed to state-of-the-art EC motors. Based on a sturdy frame with thermal insulation the BlauAIR units offer a number of advantages including easy control and maintenance thanks to a Plug-&-Play control system based on a Carel programmable controller.

The VENTS team showcased a number of new designer models from the domestic ventilation range, energy-efficient industrial ventilation units, single-room ventilation units, and heat recovery air handling units.

The company's presentation included a range of fire-resistant VENTS units intended for ventilation of covered and semi-open car parks in the ventilation and smoke extraction modes – the JAF-KI 315 axial jet fan and the ICF-50 centrifugal jet fan.

The customers highly appreciated the new range of VENTS duct fans (the VKVKM and TT PRO models) updated with the latest generation of EC motors. The company experts also presented a new arrival – the TT PRO 400 mixed-type duct fan designed to fit 400 mm air ducts.

The company team demonstrated the VENTS VUT 350 VB EC energy-efficient air handling unit and several new single-room ventilation units (TwinFresh Style and TwinFresh Comfo). As usual the visitors flocked around the intelligent VENTS Micra 100 single-room air handling unit equipped with a WiFi module for convenient wireless control via a smartphone or a tablet.

Visitors also paid a lot of attention to the VENTS CBF centrifugal ceiling fans designed for intermittent or continuous ventilation of bathrooms, showers, kitchens or other domestic spaces.

The Blauberg group presentation consisted of a wide range of EC and AC fans designed and engineered by Blauberg Motoren including centrifugal fans with backward-curved blades, centrifugal fans with forward curved-blades and axial fans.

The visitors had a keen interest in the Zentri-PAC series centrifugal fans with backward-curved blades, the new arrivals from Blauberg Motoren. All the models in the series feature energy-efficient EC motors and an upgraded impeller which provides significant aerodynamic and acoustic improvements.  The new models are also compatible with the innovative Plug Fan mounting system which allows easy installation, simple maintenance and secure mounting at any angle.

The visitors were offered a unique opportunity to see a Blauberg Motoren centrifugal fan with an EC motor (BL B190B EC-00) in action in a humid environment (IP55 protection class): the unit pan was filled with water which came into contact with the fan surfaces and went up creating trickle irrigation effect which, however, did not affect the fan operation in any way.

The visitors were offered a range of heat exchangers by Zern Engineering including rotary and plate units including those with enthalpy cores. However, the real star of the collection was the ZERN Hp-EX4 plate heat exchanger, a new model in the company range, which offers heat exchange efficiency of approximately 90 %. These characteristics are owed to a unique design of the unit and the plates made of polystyrene. This material is characterised with high thermal conductivity and excellent service properties.
